Steve Deems of Sulligent told me this joke. It seems there was a man who had a drinking problem. His wife decided that to stop him from coming home drunk, she would dress up like the devil and scare him so bad he would be glad to stop drinking.
She rented a red devil’s suit, dressed in it and waited in the shrubs just outside the home she shared with the drinking devil. As usual, he came strolling in about 2 a.m., and when he did she jumped out of the bushes at him. She yelled, “Do you know who I am?”
He staggered back a few steps, then walked right up, shook hands, and replied, “Of course I know who you are! I married your sister!”
