The Alabama Farmers Federation has endorsed Sen. Clyde Chambliss for Senate District 30, which covers all or portions of Autauga, Elmore, Chilton, Coosa, and Tallapoosa counties.
“Sen. Chambliss is a conservative who believes — as we believe — in family values and a strong work ethic,” said Ricky Cardwell, Coosa County Farmers Federation president. “He is an outstanding leader, and we are proud to support him.”
Chambliss received his Civil Engineering Degree from the University of Alabama, and he is the principal of Chambliss Engineering.
He is active in his community and his district, having completed Leadership Autauga County, Leadership Elmore County and Leadership Alabama. He has served on numerous boards, including the Central Alabama Aging Consortium, Central Alabama Regional Planning Commission and the Montgomery Metropolitan Planning Organization.
“It is an honor to receive the endorsement of the Alabama Farmers Federation and its members in District 30,” said Chambliss. “I am excited about continuing to be a voice for them in Montgomery.”
Chambliss and his wife, Tara, have three daughters and attend Heritage Baptist Church where he has served as a deacon and Sunday School teacher.
The Alabama Farmers Federation is the state’s largest farm organization with more than 350,000 members. It uses a true grassroots approach to select candidates, relying on FarmPAC endorsements from county Federation boards for local elections.
