Robert Adrain Futral

 

Memorial service for Mr. Robert Adrain Futral, 74, of Goodwater, was Sunday, October 10, 2021, at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Rev. Ronnie Boulware officiated.

Mr. Futral passed away on Thursday, October 7, 2021, at his residence. He was born on September 22, 1947, in Goodwater to William Adrain Futral and Charlotte Adelaide Selbe Futral. He was an outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He was a very hard worker with a great sense of humor. He loved his family, especially his grandbabies.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Brenda Futral of Goodwater; daughter, Debra Futral Mixon (David) of Deatsville; grandchildren, Cole Futral, Aiden Futral, Sophie Mixon, and Olivia Mixon; siblings, Betty Sue Bishop (Tommy) of Wedowee, Norma Jean Bailey (Earl) of Goodwater, Cynthia Ann Lashley (Jimmy) of Kellyton, and James Edward Futral (Pat) of Hackneyville.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Donna Lynn Fuller; and niece, Tana Michelle Futral.

Larry “Hog Boy” Smith

 

Funeral service for Larry “Hog Boy” Smith, 64, of Goodwater, was Thursday, October 14, 2021, at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Rev. Matthew Reams officiated. Burial followed in the Rock Springs Cemetery in Clay County.

Larry passed away on Monday, October 11, 2021. He was born on February 8, 1957, in Alabama to Jerry Smith and Dean Gantt Smith. Larry loved his family dearly, especially his daughters, grandchildren, and his dog, Rowdy. He drove and worked on big trucks for over 40 years. Larry was a hard-working man that enjoyed the simple things in life. He enjoyed Enduro racing and working on dirt bikes, collecting and shooting guns, going to the casinos, collecting unique items, going to Harbor Freight, and most of all was a bargain hunter.

He is survived by his children, Megan and Gene Gooden of Gulf Shores and Jennifer and Tommy Tindall of Rockford; granddaughter, Isabella Gooden; and grandsons, William Gooden, Kaden Tindall, and Carter Tindall; and brother, Danny Smith.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 28 years, Debbie Smith; parents; and sister, Deanne Hodges.
