The Gospel Truth
Rev. Michael Strong
When God moves
Genesis 1:2 tells us that the earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep waters. And the Spirit of God hovered over the surface of the waters.
When the Spirit of God moves things have to happen.
God says, “Let there be…,” and it happened just as He said. When God says “let there be,” and it is.
There is nothing anyone can do to stop the Spirit of God from moving.
Imagine a world empty and without form, with darkness covering the deep waters.
God took nothing and made something. He made a world for you and I to live.
Just as the Spirit of God moved and made the world, He can allow His Spirit to move again and destroy everything that He made, including you and I.
Many of us have witnessed storm after storm in our lives.
Tornadoes and hurricanes have swept across our lands, destroying almost everything in their paths. But yet we are still not taking Him seriously.
I’m here today to tell you that until you recognize who God is and start worshiping and serving Him you will be destroyed.
One day the Spirit of God is going to move for the last time.
When this happens, you won’t be able to run to any shelter for cover.
It is said that you can run to the rocks and the rocks will cry out no hiding place.
There’s only one Rock that we can find shelter with, and that is the Rock of Ages according to Psalm 71:1-3, “Be to me a rock of refuge, to which I may continually come; you have given the command to save me, for you are my rock and my fortress.”
May we all find shelter before the Spirit of God moves for the last time.
That shelter is Jesus Christ.
