Default having been made in the payment of the indebtedness secured by that certain mortgage executed on October 19, 2005 by Boyd Frye and wife, Connie Frye, originally in favor of CitiFinancial Corporation, LLC, and recorded in MORT Book 382 at Page 4 on October 25, 2005, in the Office of the Judge of Probate of Coosa County, Alabama, and secured indebtedness having been transferred to US Bank Trust National Association, Not In Its Individual Capacity But Solely As Owner Trustee For VRMTG Asset Trust. PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE 

 

The Coosa County Commission will hold a public meeting on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. at Coosa County Courthouse in the Commission Chambers to discuss the FY 2021 Community Development Block Grant program.  The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the CDBG Program and the proposed applications the County plans to submit to the Alabama Department of Economic & Community Affairs (ADECA) for funding consideration.  All citizens are encouraged to attend this meeting.  Anyone who would like to attend the public hearing but has a disability which might require special materials, services, or assistance, should notify the County Administrator at 256-377-1350 at least three days in advance of the public hearing.

Description of Request:  Alabama Power requests approval to modify Unit 6 at the Lay Development to address significant maintenance needs and to improve power and efficiency.  The proposed scope of work for Unit 6 includes complete turbine replacement, wicket gate replacement, wicket gate stem bushings installation, turbine, and generator bearing upgrades, and related component replacement.  Alabama Power states the turbine replacement is not expected to result in an increase to the total rated capacity or the maximum discharge of the unit at rated conditions.  Alabama Power notes that project operations will not change, and refurbishment will not include any structural changes to the project facilities.
