Bowden Oil Company, Inc., P.O. Box 145, Sylacauga, Alabama is required by ADEM to implement a Modified Corrective Action Plan for remediation of soil and/or groundwater which has resulted from a release from an underground storage tank located at Shop N Fill #15 Texaco, 1652 Highway 280, Kellyton, Alabama. The site is identified as Facility I.D. Number 10642-037-017769 and Incident Number UST19-07-08. The proposed remediation methods include Cool-Ox ® injections.

As proclaimed by the Governor, Alabama will hold a Special Primary Election for the Democratic and Republican political parties on Tuesday, August 11, 2026. Coosa County will have one office appearing on the ballots: U.S. House of Representatives, 6th Congressional District. There are no Constitutional Amendments appearing on this ballot. Voters must select and cast only one ballot, either a Democratic Party or a
Republican Party ballot. Voters may not vote in both party’s election. Voters may select either party’s ballot irrespective of the party ballot voted in the regular 2026 Primary and/or Primary Runoff elections.
