Sara Louise Fuller

 

Funeral service for Mrs. Sara Louise Fuller, 83, of Alexander City, was Sunday, July 18, 2021, at the Marshall Street Church of God. Rev. Rick Levell officiated. Burial followed in the Hillview Memorial Park.

Mrs. Fuller passed away on Thursday, July 15, 2021, at Russell Medical. She was born on August 15, 1937, in Coosa County to Edward Rudolph Hanna and Tommie T. Gipson Williams. She was an active lifelong member of Marshall Street Church. She sang in the choir, played the organ and piano, was the former president of the ladies’ auxiliary and Sunday School Secretary. Mrs. Louise sang gospel music for many years with the Sunliters Quartet and the Fuller Family Singers. She enjoyed trips to the mountains, cruises and taking pictures. She was the owner and operator of Louise’s Drapery Shop. Mrs. Louise was a woman of great faith who loved her family dearly.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, William David Fuller of Alexander City; daughter, Louise Delaine Parker (Ricky) of Alexander City; son, Darren Shane Fuller (Patricia) of Alexander City; grandchildren, Jessica Lynn Johnson (David), Chastity Ritchea (Steven), Timothy Fuller (Jocelyn), Cory Parker (Lindsey), Shane Fuller, and Bradley Fuller; great-grandchildren, Allison Parker, Caleb Parker, Grant Parker, Brody Parker, Aydin Shelton, Parker Ritchea, Madisyn Meadows (Hogan), Brett David Johnson, Paisley Fuller, and Piper Fuller; great-great-grandchild, Saylor Meadows; daughter-in-law, Shelia Fuller; and brother, Marlin Rudolph Hanna (Brenda).

She was preceded in death by her son, David Stanley Fuller, and her parents.

James Nolen Nelson

 

Funeral service for Mr. James Nolen Nelson, 62, of Jacksons Gap, was Thursday, July 22, 2021, at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Randy Anderson officiated. Burial followed in the Kellyton Memory Garden.

Mr. Nelson passed away on Monday, July 19, 2021, at his residence. He was born on April 19, 1959, in Reeltown to Jessie Nolan Nelson and Faye Ruth Wesson. James was a pulpwooder for many years and enjoyed being outside. He also enjoyed cooking, hunting, fishing, and watching TV.

He is survived by his wife, James Hayward Weldon of Jacksons Gap; brothers, Jessie Nelson of Jacksons Gap, Jerry Nelson of Lincoln and Tony Nelson of Roanoke; sister, Shirley Marshall of Rome, Ga.; step-son, James Earl Hickman of Munford; step-daughter, Linda Diane Mahan of Perryville; sister-in-law, Kim Weldon of Ashland; brothers-in-law, Henry F. Weldon of Sylacauga and Marcus V. Weldon of Kellyton; and cousin, Brenda Presley of Jacksons Gap.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Teresa Faye Laster; and brother, Jimmy Thomas Nelson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to Radney Funeral Home to assist with burial expenses.
