The Gospel Truth – My Strength

My strength
Paul is saying in Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
Can we really do all things? Is this strength really sufficient enough to do God’s will?
We can’t do all things unless we receive power from God.
Paul in this verse was relying on God’s power in order to be content in the midst of circumstances he couldn’t change.
It is only when we are content to receive power from God that is sufficient enough to do God’s will.
Paul did not have supernatural abilities to do anything. All of the strength he had came from the Lord.
Paul was given this strength from the Lord because he faced trouble and trials in his life.
You don’t have to be the strongest person in the land to have strength.
As we face trials in our lives, we, too, will be given the ability to do all things. But first we must understand and know that my strength and your strength come from the Lord.
Paul’s priorities were straight because he focused on what God had given him.
As we contend for the faith, we will face troubles, pressures and trials.
But our attitude should be that of Paul.
I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.
