Ralph Franklin Durden
Funeral service for Mr. Ralph Franklin Durden, 92, of Goodwater, was Thursday, July 8, 2021, at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Rev. John Hill and Rev. Dion Turner officiated. Burial followed in the Socapatoy Cemetery.
Mr. Durden passed away on Monday, July 5, 2021, at Chapman Healthcare Center. He was born on September 27, 1928, to Frank “Bishop” and Emily McCarley Durden. He was an active member of Bradford United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his daughter, Debra Fennell (Butch) of Goodwater; grandsons, Shane Fennell and Andy Fennell (Ginger), both of Chelsea.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Bessie Ruth Durden; and an infant twin brother, Raymond Durden.
The family will accept flowers or memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

Linda C. Hickey
Funeral service for Linda Hickey, age 71, of Sylacauga, was Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at Andrews Chapel Methodist Church with Rev. Jason Gravette and Rev. Joe Camp officiating. Burial was at Andrews Chapel Cemetery in Hanover.
Mrs. Hickey passed away on Saturday, July 3, 2021, at Grandview Hospital. She was preceded in death by parents, Ira Vernon and Mary Ella Champion; brother, Jerry Davidson; sister, Billie Wayne Bowen; and beloved “Bogie.”
She is survived by her husband, Robert Hickey; son, Jason Hickey (Teresa); daughter, Jennifer Robbins (Eric); sister, Margie C. Hopper (Lance); brother, Charles (Bud) Champion (Martha); granddaughter, Elizabeth Hickey (Lillie Belle); nephew, Michael Lynn Bowen (Britta); great-niece, Kimberly Bowen; two great-great-nieces; and dogs Jazzy, Layla and Little Bit.
Pallbearers were Tim Bowden, Mark Hanna, Gene Ray, Marion Brown, Jeff Magouyrk, and Kevin Webb. Honorary pallbearers were Joe Jones, Jim Gallops, Louis Gallops, and Thomas Cleveland.

James Brooks “Bird” Partridge
Funeral service for Mr. James Brooks “Bird” Partridge, 88, of Alexander City, will be Friday, July 9, 2021, at 11 a.m. at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Bro. Tim R. Wilson and Rev. Donald DeLee will officiate. Burial will follow in the Stewartville Church of God Cemetery.
Mr. Partridge passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at his residence. He was born on April 18, 1933, in Jackson’s Gap to Roby Arnold Partridge and Lessie Lucille Blake Partridge. Mr. Partridge loved his family dearly. He was a member of Sylacauga Church of God where he was a Trustee for over 30 years and Sound Engineer and retired after 45 years with Russell Corporation. Mr. Partridge was a Korean War Army Veteran. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, eating catfish from Lake Martin, Alabama Football “Roll Tide,” and his dog, Lady, and cat, Bear.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Lena T. Partridge; daughter, Donna P. Jackson (Charles); son, James Larry Partridge; sister, Nancy Lou Estelle Partridge Vernon Foley; grandchildren, Daniel Trapp (Marsha), Rebecca Whitehead, Denver Whitehead, David Whitehead, Jamie Whitehead, Jonathan Jackson (Elizabeth), Joel Jackson, Joshua Jackson, and Julie Jackson; great-grandchildren, Jayde Trapp, Dawson Trapp, Noah Jackson, and Annaliese Jackson; aunt, Ethel Burkette; sister-in-law, Bessie Collins (Roscoe); special daughter, Dawn Osbourn (Mike); numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and caregivers, Rebecca Whitehead, Denver Whitehead, Angela Westry, Ardrienne Kelly, and Erica Hutcherson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother and sister-in-law, Harvey Arnold and Myra Partridge; brother-in-law, Mike Foley; and special daughter, Lea C. Gammons.
