As beginning of year assessments are concluding, teachers at Central Elementary are getting into the spirit of student engagement while teaching.
Ms. Zachery’s first grade class has been learning about writing consonant vowel consonant (CVC) words such as cat, bat, hat and then rhyming the words. Thanks to Ms. Zachery’s use of differentiated and multisensory instructional strategies, as well as her strong classroom management techniques, the students were very engaged and on task.
For the lesson Ms. Zachery utilized interactive writing tablets that allow the students to write and erase on as Ms. Zachery guides them through their lesson. Ms. Zachery was using an instructional strategy to increase learning outcomes, and the students love using the interactive tablets because they make the lessons “fun.”
Thank you to reading coach Leslie Wells for sharing pictures and information.
Wells added, “Shout out to Ms. Zachery for her management style and use of instructional strategies. Way to go, Ms. Zachery’s class; keep on shining.”
