Americans for Prosperity-Alabama (AFP-AL) is excited to announce a series of free film screenings of the new movie “Young Washington” to celebrate the United States of America’s 250th anniversary.
The complimentary matinee showings will take place throughout July at eight locations throughout the state.
These family-friendly events will offer unique opportunities to honor the spirit of the nation’s founding while enjoying an inspiring cinematic experience.
Each guest will receive a free movie ticket, popcorn and a drink – creating a memorable and meaningful way to celebrate America’s founding ideals.
“America’s 250th anniversary is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to reflect on the principles that built our country and to come together as a community,” said AFP-AL State Director Adam Thompson. “Through these events, we’re proud to offer our fellow Alabamians an opportunity to connect with our history, celebrate our shared values and enjoy time with other liberty-minded individuals.”
Event highlights:
- Free admission to “Young Washington”
- Complimentary popcorn and drink for each guest
- Eight locations across Alabama
- Open to the public (registration required)
Because of limited seating at each venue, advance registration is required. Patriots across Alabama are encouraged to reserve their seats early by visiting the event page at AFPAlabama.com, where they can find the nearest location and secure tickets.
Theaters closest to Coosa County participating in the event include AMC Patton Creek 15 in Birmingham, AMC Festival Plaza 16 in Montgomery and AMC Tiger 13 in Opelika. To see other participating locations or register for tickets, visit https://al.americansforprosperity.org/events.
The featured film, “Young Washington,” brings to life the early years of George Washington, offering viewers a deeper look at the leadership, courage and character that helped shape the foundation of the United States.
“These screenings are about more than an afternoon at the movies,” added Thompson. “They are an invitation to reflect on our nation’s beginnings and renew our shared commitment to the values that continue to guide us forward.”
