The Buzz
Buzzy the Buzzard
I want to continue about last week’s election, because the election continues – runoffs!
I was already appalled at how much was being spent on attack ads that nobody watches. Now they continue, although reduced, for a runoff election in which even fewer voters will participate. Not to mention the special election that may happen in August due to redistricting.
What a waste of money! All the advertising, plus administering each election, paying the poll workers…for about 30 percent of the voters.
Hey, candidates, you need to think hard about the quality of leadership. You don’t need to be listening to your strategists’ tactics instead.
Leadership is not based on revenge, intimidation, blame, bullying, fear, name-calling, and tearing down your opponents. None of that makes you look better. True leadership is positive. It works with strength, patience and dignity.
We need leadership to restore what is great about America. Step up, candidates, and voters, too.
Love,
Buzzy
