Congratulations to Central High School boys basketball coach Richard Bell for being named “The Alexander City Outlook’s” Coach of the Year once again.
The March 26 article by Samuel Higgs in the “Alex City Outlook” credits Bell with taking his team to the playoffs for a third year in a row.
As noted in the article, Bell has achieved success despite losing some key players. Knowing this is the reality of high school athletics, Bell’s coaching style is to not focus on one player.
Bell also noted in the article that his players have a natural love of the game and therefore are self-motivated. In addition, he gives credit to his strong assistant coaching staff.
Congratulations, Coach Bell. We are proud of your achievement, and we would also like to congratulate Bell on completing his master’s degree in administration.
