First place: Lamiya Harrison

Second place: Charles Tillman

Third place: MaryAnn Ward
On March 28, Jobs for Alabama Graduates (JAG) students presented their annual talent show. This year’s theme was “Coosa’s Got Talent,” drawing inspiration from “America’s Got Talent.”
JAG juniors and seniors helped with sign-ups, decorating, security, gathering judges, MCing, and even performing in the talent show. We had an outstanding halftime performance from our very own teacher Mr. Hunter (Coach Jo).
Of course a talent show would not be possible without participants, which included Aerial Green, Alyssa Woodfin, Lathan Spradley, Quenn Hutcherson, Lamiya Harrison, Charles Tillman, and MaryAnn Ward.
Our third place winner was MaryAnn Ward performing a dance to the song “Blow.” Our second place winner was Charles Tillman with his Elvis performance of the song “Burning Love.” Our first place winner was Lamiya Harrison with her performance to the song “A Party in the U.S.A.”
Congratulations to all our contestants. The talent show really got the students excited, and they enjoyed singing along to all their favorite songs.
JAG brought back talent shows to Central High last year and is looking forward to continuing the tradition. Thank you to JAG sponsor Debbie Phillips for facilitating this opportunity for our students.
