A Sylacauga man has been missing for nearly nine months now, and the Coosa County Sheriff’s Office is seeking any information from the public regarding his potential whereabouts and where he may have been seen since then.
Shannon Lee Morris is a 35-year-old Black male, standing at 5-feet 9-inches tall and weighing 175 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
Morris was reported missing from Sylacauga on May 25. The Sylacauga Police Department began investigating and initially oversaw the case.
However, on September 24 the Coosa County Sheriff’s Office found the vehicle Morris was last seen in in Coosa County. Sheriff Michael Howell said that Morris had taken someone’s vehicle in Sylacauga, and that vehicle was then located in Coosa County.
Howell reported that it was determined in May that the last place Morris had been seen was at the Exxon station at the corner of U.S. Highway 280 and County Road 49.
Morris remains missing, and Howell said any information regarding his whereabouts is appreciated.
The Coosa County Sheriff’s Office is currently working the case. As such, Howell said that his office would like any information available, even if the information was already reported to the Sylacauga Police Department or someone else.
Howell asks that anyone with any information please call the Sheriff’s Office at 256-377-4922. Anonymous tips are also welcome, as any information is appreciated in helping find Morris and return him home.
