On Wednesday, November 5, the Alabama Department of Corrections (ADOC) worked with the Montgomery Police Department (MPD) to make a contraband arrest.
ADOC Narcotics Agents, with MPD K-9 and SWAT, arrested Omar Jameel Muhammad in Montgomery County.
He was transported to the Elmore County Jail without incident and charged with conspiracy to commit a controlled substance crime.
Muhammad is suspected of passing contraband to an inmate at Tutwiler Women’s Facility during visitation.
The LESD investigation is ongoing, and additional charges may be pending.
