On Thursday, September 11, the Alabama Department of Corrections (ADOC) Narcotics and K9
Divisions and the Elmore County Sheriff’s Office SWAT executed a search warrant at the residence of
Gwendolyn Reese on Lucky Town Loop in Elmore County.
Reese was arrested, transported to the Jefferson County Jail, and charged with trafficking and first-degree promoting prison contraband.
This arrest stemmed from an incident in Jefferson County where Reese attempted to introduce contraband into Donaldson Correctional Facility.
The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges may be pending out of Elmore County.
