There has not been much information out of the Secret Service Agency or the Federal Bureau of Investigation about the July 13 attempt on former President Donald Trump. But there has been a good bit of information coming out from whistleblowers from those agencies and the Homeland Security Agency.
Basically, the security provided to Donald Trump that day was a nightmare, and I now wonder if the other candidates, President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris are getting the same type of security.
Supposedly, many of the federal law enforcement agents on the ground that day were not Secret Service but were Homeland Security. They only had a two-hour video training session on how to protect a subject, so they were basically untrained.
We’ve already heard that there was a total lack of communication between the Secret Service and the local law enforcement agencies who were there for backup security. Even the people in the crowd saw the shooter and tried to warn the law enforcement.
Even as a totally untrained person I have learned more watching TV shows about where security should be stationed to see the entire scope of an area. No one on the building where the shooter was, no one on the water tower that would have a wide view of the area and no communication to the agents guarding Trump.
This is unacceptable. The shooter had been planning the attack on either Trump or Biden and Trump just appeared first. I would be just as outraged if President Biden or VP Kamala Harris had been attacked. As a citizen who pays taxes, I expect much more from the agencies that safeguard our country.
The U.S.S.S. Agency and the FBI should be the BEST of the BEST, and we don’t have that right now. I’m not blaming the agents themselves, but the people in charge of hiring, training and follow up. This is a black eye on our law enforcement services.

I would think a Democratic songwriter would write something very similar if the shoe had been on the other foot. And please note that Republicans did not start one riot, no towns were burned down, and no flags were stepped on. We only called for the who, what, why, when, and where. And we are still asking why no one has been fired over this fiasco.
Hopefully, the debate scheduled for this past Tuesday showed the huge difference between the two candidates – if the debate happened.
