The Buzz
Buzzy the Buzzard
I just heard that the Infinity Coffee Shop is closed for the summer. No announcement beforehand, just closed. This is a place that sells iced coffee, frozen smoothies, salads, and other light fare – during hot weather. Bad business decision?
I also heard that the produce stand, which this town really needs, opened and then closed again within a few weeks. It turns out that some agreement wasn’t what the new owners thought. Didn’t they get it in writing? Bad business practice?
I may not have been much of an eye in the sky lately, but I am an awesome listener. And I hear a lot of contention for a small place like Rockford. Contention between organizations: the county, the town, the utilities board. Contention between individuals (and you know I don’t name names).
I have also detected rancor over hoarding and/or coveting property in order to control its use and development. Or accusing others of the same.
I have news for you folks. There is enough sunshine for everyone to thrive. Life is better when we light each other up.
Love,
Buzzy
