ARRESTS
On August 30, Investigator Fenn arrested Kevin Michael Butts of Goodwater for Receiving Stolen Property 1st. He was booked into the Coosa County Jail with a $10,000 bond.
On September 1, Deputy Ward arrested Viraj Anil Wadivkar of Austin, Texas, for DUI. He was booked into the Coosa County Jail with a $2,000 bond.
On September 2, Deputy Ward arrested Richard Daniel Ragland of Marbury for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was booked into the Coosa County Jail with a $7,500 bond.
On September 3, Deputy Middlebrooks arrested Colleen Agnes McDowell of Wasilla, Alaska, for Domestic Violence 3rd. She was booked into the Coosa County Jail with a $2,000 bond.
On September 6, Corporal Rudd arrested Jaron Tait Compton of Weogufka for Probation Violation, Failure to Appear/No Drivers License, Switched Tag, and Operating Vehicle without Insurance. He was booked into the Coosa County Jail with no bond.
CALLS FOR SERVICE
STEWARTVILLE
On August 31st, Deputies and Alabama State Troopers were dispatched to CR 322 after receiving a report of a motor vehicle accident. Scene was turned over to Troopers for investigation.
On September 3rd, Deputies, Stewartville VFD, Sylacauga Ambulance, DOT, and Alabama State Troopers were dispatched to US Hwy 280 near Mile Marker 51 after receiving a report of a motor vehicle accident. Scene was turned over to Troopers for investigation.
On September 4th, Deputies were dispatched to CR 68 after receiving a request for a welfare check. Deputy had negative contact with anyone in distress.
On September 4th, Deputies were dispatched to CR 70 after receiving a report of a burglary. A report was taken and case is under investigation.
WEOGUFKA
On September 5th, Deputies were dispatched to Live Oaks Lane after receiving a report of Harassment and Criminal Trespassing. Deputies were dispatched to call and a report was made and turned over to investigations.
HANOVER
On August 31st, Deputies and Alabama State Troopers were dispatched to US Hwy 231 after receiving a report of a motor vehicle accident. Scene was turned over to Troopers for investigation. Subject transported to Coosa Valley Medical Center.
On September 1st, Deputies were dispatched to US Hwy 231 and CR 59 after receiving a report of Illegal Dumping, information was collected and case is under investigation.
On September 5th, Deputies were called regarding a group of people lost while floating down Hatchet Creek. Kellyton Fire and Rockford Fire were called and assisted floaters. Subjects were returned to their vehicles safely.
MT OLIVE
On September 1st, Deputies were dispatched to CR 123 after receiving a report of a suspicious vehicle. Deputy preformed extra patrol of the area.
On September 3rd, Deputies and Alabama State Troopers were dispatched to CR 511 near Broken Arrowhead Rd after receiving a report of a motor vehicle accident. Scene was turned over to Troopers for investigation. Subject transported to Coosa Valley Medical Center.
KENYO
On August 31st, Deputies were dispatched to CR 71 after receiving a report of a residential burglar alarm. Deputy checked residence and determined alarm to be false.
GOODWATER
On August 30th, Deputies were dispatched to CR 511 after receiving a request for a welfare check. Deputy had negative contact with anyone in distress.
On August 31st, Deputies and Alabama State Troopers were dispatched to AL Hwy 9, after receiving a report of a motor vehicle accident. Scene was turned over to Troopers for investigation.
On September 1st, Deputies were dispatched to CR 66 after receiving a report of Criminal Mischief. A report was taken and case is under investigation.
On September 4th, Deputies were dispatched to CR 70 after receiving a report of Burglary. A report was taken and the case is under investigation.
On September 5th, Deputies were called to Bufford Lane after receiving a report of a Domestic Violence/Criminal Mischief. Deputies arrived on scene and a report was taken and the case is under investigation.
KELLYTON
On August 31st, Deputies and Alabama State Troopers were dispatched to US Hwy 280 after receiving a report of a motor vehicle accident. Scene was turned over to Troopers for investigation.
On September 2nd, Deputies were dispatched to Tuck Ln after receiving a report of a civil dispute. Deputy spoke with all subjects involved and situation was resolved without a report.
On September 3rd, Deputies were dispatched to US Hwy 280 after receiving a report of a Burglary. A report was taken and case is under investigation.
On September 5th, Deputies were dispatched to Sneaky Pete’s Texaco after receiving a report of a suspicious person. Deputy located subject involved and situation was resolved without a report.
RICHVILLE
On September 3rd, Deputies were dispatched to AL Hwy 22 after receiving a report of a domestic dispute. A report was completed, and an arrest was made after an investigation.
ROCKFORD
On September 1st, Deputies were dispatched to US Hwy 231 just past the 4 way after receiving a report of a reckless driver. Deputy preformed extra patrol of the area.
On September 3rd, Thomas Lamberth, a resident of CR 29, Rockford AL, reported to the Sheriff’s Office for his quarterly Sex Offender registration.
On September 5th, Deputies were dispatched to CR 304 after receiving a report of a residential burglar alarm. Deputy checked residence and determined alarm to be false.
COTTAGE GROVE/HISSOP
On September 1st, Deputies were dispatched to CR 30 after receiving a report of a church burglar alarm. Dispatch canceled call due to the alarm company stating it as a false alarm.
On September On September 2nd, Deputies were dispatched to CR 93 after receiving a report of a residential burglar alarm. Deputy checked residence and determined alarm to be false.
4th, Deputies were dispatched to CR 133 after receiving a report of Theft of Property. A report was taken and case is under investigation.
EQUALITY
On September 1st, Deputies were dispatched to AL Hwy 9 after receiving a report of a residential burglar alarm. Dispatch spoke to residence owner and determined alarm to be false.
On August 3rd, Deputies were dispatched to AL Hwy 259 after receiving a request for a welfare check. Deputy found subject dead at residence. Scene turned over to coroner for further investigation.

RAY
On August 31st, Deputies and Alabama State Troopers were dispatched to CR 322 after receiving a report of a motor vehicle accident. Scene was turned over to Troopers for investigation.
On September 5th, Deputies were dispatched to CR 63 after receiving a report of Harassment. Deputy arrived on scene and spoke to the subject and subject left the scene. A report was taken and turned over to investigations.
