The Gospel Truth
The promise
A promise is assuring someone that one will definitely do, give, or arrange something; undertake or declare that something will happen.
There are many times in scripture that God has made promises.
In the book of Hebrews 13:5 it reads, “Let your manner of living be without covetousness, and be content with such things as ye have. For He hath said, ‘I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.’”
The Lord is saying to us in His word, “Be strong and courageous.”
He is saying, “Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you or forsake you.”
Whatever we are going through in this life the Lord will always be there with and for us.
Like Abraham – God promised him that he would be the father of many nations. It can be found in Genesis 12:1-3 that God promises to bless Abraham and all of his descendants.
This was God’s promise to Abraham, and the same promise applies to all of us today.
He promised never to leave us alone.
There are times we may go through periods of loneliness.
There are times we may go through periods of depression.
But just be assured, that the protected Hands of God are all around us.
Another promise that the Lord made to us is that He will prepare for us a new home in glory. In order for us to receive this new home, we must live according to His will.
Be assured today that there is a promise that the Lord has made just for us, but we must live a life according to His will.
The Lord requires of us to do justly, love mercy and to walk humbly with Him.
