A Kellyton woman was arrested late last month on drug-related and other charges.
On June 22, the Coosa County Special Response Team served a search warrant at a residence on County Road 119, also known as Robinson Road, in the Kellyton community.
The team gained entry into the residence, where two individuals were found inside. Both were detained while a search was conducted.
During the search several different narcotics and an undisclosed amount of currency were discovered inside the residence.
Quinetta Martesia Brooks, 35 years old, was arrested and charged with first-degree possession of marijuana because of a prior conviction, possession of a controlled substance (synthetic marijuana), certain persons forbidden to possess a firearm, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Her total bond for all four charges was set at $20,000. She was released on bond the same day to await trial.
