July 26
Unity Fellowship Church, located at 8780 Coosa Co. Rd. 56, Weogufka (GPS: 33.0059942, -86.3391470), established in 1858, will be holding their Homecoming on Sunday, July 26, at 11 a.m. Speaker will be Ray Franklin. Service will be followed with a potluck lunch. Everyone is invited to join us in this annual celebration.
July 29
St. James A.M.E. Church of Goodwater, in partnership with the Heart of Alabama Food Bank, will be offering food boxes beginning July 29, at 9 a.m. Registration is required to receive a box. Pre-registration will be held at St. James on July 19 and July 26 from 12:30 to 1 p.m. Registration will also be available on distribution day, July 29, beginning at 7:30 a.m. The church is located at 376 Coosa County Road 7, Goodwater. Also, we are looking for volunteers to assist in this Love in Action Ministry. If interested and you have a calling for this labor of love, please contact any member of St. James A.M.E. Weekly
Unity Fellowship Church; located at 8780 Coosa County Road 56, Weogufka, 35183; is having Bible Study each Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall of the church with a meal provided. If you would please contact Martha Mooney at 205-249-0472 or Pat Green Gaither at 256-391-7353 to confirm each Wednesday of any cancellation. Bible Study is usually finished by 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome!
Monthly
Every second Tuesday of the month, Manna Ministries of Rockford Baptist Church hosts a free community dinner from 4-6 p.m. Donations are welcome for the meal, but not required.
