Mrs. Clark’s seventh and eighth grade intervention classes were given a project that challenged them to use their creativity and think outside the box, while creating a Room in a Box. This project is something Mrs. Clark has done with her students the last two years as a way to use their creativity by creating a room, any room, in a box by using material from around their house.
Mrs. Clark said, “It has been very fun to see how the students can use their imagination and materials from home.”
The project is a grade, but to make it more interesting Mrs. Clark offers a chance to win $10. The judges chose Madison Lowe’s and Amari Gaddis’ Rooms in a Box as the winners. If you look closely at Amari’s computer, she is working on her iReady lessons.
Mrs. Clark is a paraprofessional who facilitates online coursework, but goes above and beyond by creating projects such as the Room in a Box to break the monotony of online coursework for her students. As you can see, all the students did a great job and really showcased their creative intelligence.
