It’s playoff time, and Central of Coosa County had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Lanett Panthers at home Saturday for the sub-regional playoff game by a score of 66-54. The win was familiar territory for the Cougars who have now won four matchups in a row.
Central of Coosa County found their leader in eighth grader Waylon Allen, who went 8 for 16 en route to 24 points and seven steals. As a matter of fact, that’s the most points Allen has scored all season. Javon Thomas was another key player, putting up 11 points and five steals.
