Twelfth grader Zynedria Edwards is the daughter of Donna Chestner and William Brooks. She is a member of the Sylacauga community and attends Cross Key Baptist Church. Zynedria’s favorite subject is science. She states, “It is fun to learn about what things are made of, how things are made and what would happen if you put elements together.” Her teachers say that she is very involved with extracurricular activities, she helps around the school, and she is also helpful with the underclassmen. Zynedria plays softball for Central and serves as the volleyball manager. She is a member of the Key Club, JAG and SGA, as well as the FCCLA co-president and volunteers as a Coosa Upward T-ball coach. Her future plans are to attend Auburn University and study animal science. She would like to become an animal scientist or zoologist. Zynedria wants to add that she loves her momma Donna. Congratulations, Zynedria.

Eleventh grader Re’Niyah Gibbs is the daughter of Jeaniah Moon and David Gibbs. She is a resident of the Goodwater community and attends St. James A.M. E. Church. Her favorite subject is English. Re’Niyah says that Mr. Moon makes the learning process fun. According to her teachers, she always has a positive attitude and is willing to help whenever asked. Re’Niyah plays basketball and volleyball and is a member of the SGA and the FBLA. After graduating, she plans on earning a radiology degree to become an ultrasound technician. Re’Niyah would like to share that she is really thankful to be nominated as the eleventh grade Student of the Month by her teachers. Congratulations, Re’Niyah.

Tenth grader Kimberly Parris is the daughter of Teeweewa and Benjamin Kimbrayh. She is a resident of the Kellyton community. Her favorite class is math because Mr. Phillips makes learning fun. Kimberly is a member of the Central High School Band and a very active member of the Student Government Association, always willing to volunteer when there is a need. Her teachers speak very highly of her. They say she is a good student and a hard worker. After graduation, Kimberly wants to attend cosmetology school and become a nail technician. Congratulations, Kimberly.

Ninth grader Destini Kelley is the daughter of Vickie Tuck. She is a member of the Goodwater community and attends Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church. Destini’s favorite subject is math. She states, “Math is my favorite subject because it’s something I understand.” She is a Central High School cheerleader and basketball player and a member of the Student Government Association and volunteer Diamond Doll. She has aspirations of attending college to become a criminal defense lawyer. Her teachers say that she is a good student, completes her work on time and maintains a standard of excellence – all while staying busy with extracurricular activities. Additionally, Destini states, “I would like to give a shout out to my two favorite teachers, Mrs. Stover and Mr. Phillips, for being understanding and helpful towards me. Love y’all.” Congratulations, Destini.

Eighth grader Kamiya Davis is the daughter of Kendra Hawkins. She lives in Goodwater. Kamiya’s favorite subject is math. She says, “My math teacher is a good teacher, and she explains math so we can understand.” Her teachers say Kamiya is a very sweet person and a joy to teach. She strives to do her best and is always kind to her teachers and peers. Kamiya has such a wonderful and positive personality. One day she hopes to become a travel labor and delivery nurse. Congratulations, Kamiya.

Seventh grader Kamorian Hoyett is the son of Evetta Hoyett. Kamorian is a well-rounded student and enjoys all of his classes equally. Outside of academics, he enjoys playing football for Central. He hopes to become a famous content streamer one day. According to his teachers, Kamorian is polite and works very hard in class. He goes out of his way to help his peers and always participates in class. He is quick to encourage his peers to listen and pay attention. Kamorian is a model student. Congratulations, Kamorian.
