Seventh grader Alona Shehan is the daughter of Hanna Rudd and James Shehan. Alona says she loves science because Mrs. Thompson makes it fun and engaging. According to her teachers, she is very polite and well mannered. In addition, she is quiet and always takes care of business. In her accelerated math class, Alona works ahead of the other students. She always finishes her assignments early, and she always pays extra attention to detail when completing assignments. Alona likes to play volleyball while at home. She has aspirations of attending cosmetology school one day. Congratulations, Alona!

Eighth grader D’Ambri Lee is the daughter of Tasha and Desmond Lee. She is a member of the Rockford community. She attends First Baptist Church. D’Ambri’s favorite subject is math. She says, “Math is my favorite subject because I have the best teacher, and it is very easy to learn.” D’Ambri has been a cheerleader for three years. According to her teachers, she is kind, self-motivated, respectful, and eager to learn. She goes above and beyond to help her classmates, and she does an amazing job doing so! In her spare time, she does eyelashes. She loves dressing up and getting her hair done. In the future, she wishes to become a labor and delivery nurse. In addition, she would like to do lashes and hair as a second career. D’Ambri has a never-give-up attitude and hopes to impart that to everyone she meets. Congratulations, D’Ambri!

Ninth grader Kaylyn Gould is the granddaughter of Lynne and Tim Taylor. She is a member of the Rockford community and attends the Rockford Church of God. Kaylyn is a member of the Student Government Association and is also a Cougar softball player. Additionally, she is an FCCLA officer and will be attending the state conference and competition. Her teachers state that she is punctual, respectful, intuitive, a hard worker, and a creative-minded student who excels in class and in her assignments. In addition, she is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of others as a way to overcome trials she has experienced in life. Rather than using those trials as an excuse, she uses them as motivation to work hard and succeed. Kaylyn’s favorite subject is English. She says, “I absolutely adore my teacher and literature, so writing and reading are very easy for me.” Her future plans include attending Florida State University to earn an undergraduate degree and New York University for her graduate studies. She wants to earn a political science degree and a law degree. Her hope is to have a career in government and politics. Congratulations, Kaylyn!

Tenth grader Kendel Luke is the son of Charity and Sam Luke. He is a member of the Weogufka community and attends Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. His favorite class is auto mechanics. Kendel has a great passion for fixing cars. His extracurricular activities include baseball and football. Kendel’s teachers say that he is a good worker who is willing to try new things, and he keeps trying until he gets it right. He is also respectful and appreciative of faculty and shows grace and compassion to his peers. Kendel plans on becoming a mechanic upon graduation. Kendel says he likes being a student at Central High School very much! Congratulations, Kendel!

Eleventh grader Micah Parsons is the son of Mike and Angel Parsons. He is a member of the Goodwater community. His favorite subject is math. Micah says, “The things we learn are always interesting.” His teachers state that he is always kind to classmates and tries hard. Micah never complains about having to complete assignments. Upon graduation, Micah says he just wants to be productive in this world, be a good person, and be able to support his family. Congratulations, Micah!

Twelfth grader Alex Williams is the son of Alvin and Shemekia Williams. Alex’s parents are very involved with his education and set high standards for his academic performance and behavior. Alex is a member of the Goodwater community, and he attends Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. Alex’s favorite school subject is history because he finds it interesting. Alex’s teachers say Alex is a great student who is always positive and very respectful. He is also a great athlete and leader on his athletic teams, as well as in the classroom. Alex has lettered in football, basketball and baseball. After graduation, Alex will join the National Guard, as well as earn his barber’s license. Congratulations, Alex!
