To those who opted to observe from the sidelines, enjoying the unfolding events. They acknowledge the outcome’s significance while recognizing their inability to alter its course once written.
I’ve been playing sports since I was old enough to sign up, continuing from childhood through to more than 40 years of age.
I can recall one game in particular where we played against a team that was slaughtering all teams. Of course you still play the game and everyone will hold out for hope. Hoping just maybe they have an off day.
During that game, their score was overwhelmingly more points than ours, and they began to toy with us. Undermining us like a cat and mouse game. I remember playing the position of second base and walking off the field.
My character finds that extremely offensive. I play the game because I love the game. I want every opportunity to be better and have a positive outcome. When I feel like this is a cat and mouse act I make a choice to not play the game.

I will maintain optimism while refusing to engage in conduct that demeans others. We all have a choice. We as non-voters are making a choice.
From my perspective, I let go of the rope. A game of tug of war requires sustained participation from both sides to continue.
To those opting not to vote, understand that you are not alone in your decision. As the movie unfolds, we’re choosing to focus on the possibilities, trusting the narrative to take us on a satisfying journey, even if the outcome isn’t entirely in our control.
