Congratulations to Derek Humphrey for being chosen as Teacher of the Month by the students at Central High School. Coach Humphrey teaches tenth and eleventh grade U.S. history, as well as serves as the head baseball coach and is on the budget committee. Coach Humphrey has taught at Central Coosa for two years. Coach Humphrey said his goal for his students is to “help them develop a deep understanding of how historical events have shaped the present; empowering them to think critically about the past and its impact on today’s world.” When asked what he loves most about his job, Coach Humphrey replied, “What I love most about teaching is the students here at Coosa.” Congratulations, Coach Humphrey.
