ARRESTS
On August 24, Deputy Payton arrested Benjamin NMN Maxwell, a citizen of Kellyton, on the charges of Domestic Violence 3rd/Harassment and Resisting Arrest. He was processed into the Coosa County Jail with a $4,000 bond.
On August 25, Deputy Payton arrested Kwinton Cortez Harrell, a citizen of Alexander City, on the charges of Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct/Disturbing the Peace, Assault with Bodily Fluids, Public Intoxication, Reckless Endangerment, Attempting to Elude Law Enforcement, and Destruction of Property by Prisoner. He was processed into the Coosa County Jail with a $18,000 bond.
CALLS FOR SERVICE
MARBLE VALLEY
On August 24th, Deputies were dispatched to Coosa County Road 99 after receiving reports of Trespassing. Negative contact was made with the subject.
STEWARTVILLE
On August 19th, Deputies were dispatched to Coosa County Road 68 after receiving reports of a residential burglar alarm. The alarm was determined to be false.
On August 20th, Deputies were dispatched to US Highway 280 after receiving a request to assist a disabled motorist. Deputies assisted the motorist without incident.
On August 21st, Deputies, Coosa 22, Stewartville First Responders, Kellyton EMS, Sylacauga EMS, ALEA, and the Coosa County Coroner were dispatched to AL Highway 231 after receiving reports of a multi-vehicle accident. This accident resulted in one fatality. The scene was turned over to ALEA.
WEOGUFKA
On August 22nd, Deputies were dispatched to Mooney Lane after receiving reports of Harassment. A report was taken.
On August 23rd, Deputies were dispatched to US Highway 231 a call after receiving reports of a reckless driver. Dispatch transferred the call to a neighboring agency considering the motorist was out of Coosa jurisdiction.
On August 24th, Deputies were dispatched to Mooney Lane after receiving reports of a civil disturbance. A report was taken.
HANOVER
On August 19th, Deputies were dispatched to US Highway 231 after receiving reports of an unwanted person. Negative contact was made with the subject.
ROCKFORD
On August 22nd, Deputies were dispatched to US Highway 231 after receiving reports of Trespassing. A report was taken.
GOODWATER
On August 22nd, Deputies were dispatched to Coosa County Road 49 after receiving reports of Harassment by Communications. A report was taken.
On August 23rd, Deputies were dispatched to Coosa County Road 52 after receiving reports of Harassment. Deputies assisted other units and determined everything was OK.
KELLYTON
On August 19th, Deputies were dispatched to Coosa County Road 46 after receiving reports of a Burglary. A report was taken, and the case is under investigation.
On August 22nd, Deputies were dispatched to Coosa County Road 85 after receiving reports of a suspicious vehicle. Deputies determined the vehicle was unoccupied and disabled; no report needed.
On August 23rd, Deputies were dispatched to Coosa County Road 85 after receiving reports of Theft of Property. A report was taken, and the case is under investigation.
On August 24th, Deputies were dispatched to Coosa County Road 46 after receiving reports of property damage. The property damage was a direct result of Burglary. A report was taken for Burglary 3rd and the case is under investigation.
On August 25th, Deputies were dispatched to Little New York Loop after receiving reports of property damage. The Deputy explained the civil process and a miscellaneous report was filed.
On August 25th, Deputies were dispatched to Coosa County Road 42 after receiving reports of a suspicious person. Deputies determined everything was OK.
EQUALITY
On August 21st, Deputies were dispatched to Coosa County Road 14 after receiving reports of a stolen vehicle. A report was taken, and the case is under investigation.
On August 25th, Deputies were dispatched to AL Highway 9 after receiving reports of a suspicious vehicle. Negative contact was made with the vehicle.

On August 19th, Deputies were dispatched to Addition Lane after receiving reports of a suspicious person. A report was taken.
On August 21st, Deputies were dispatched to Addition Lane after receiving reports of an unwanted person; no report needed/wanted.
