Mrs. Thompson’s seventh and eighth grade science classes have been studying the scientific method steps to solving a problem or answering a question. They went to the lab to observe the differences between dependent and independent variables in experiments.

In Mrs. White’s physics, chemistry and physical science classes, students have been learning to read metric rulers, vernier calipers, graduated cylinders, and triple beam balances to the correct number of significant figures to measure lengths, volumes and masses.

Whereas, her anatomy and physiology students competed in a race to see which team could answer flash card anatomical term questions the fastest in preparation for their first exam.

In Mr. Mitchell’s physical science, earth science and biology classes students have also been learning to measure mass, length and volume correctly. Thank you to Coosa County Schools science coach Shelley Wood for sharing pictures and information.
