More than 600 county officials and employees across Alabama will gather in Orange Beach from August 20-22 for the Association of County Commissions of Alabama’s (ACCA) 96th Annual Convention.
To be held at the Perdido Beach Resort, the convention will feature notable speakers and presentations to assist counties in “RE:solving” a number of issues in 2024, one in particular being workforce retention and recruitment.
Notable convention topics will include workforce retention issues, the 2024 “Working for Alabama” policy package, hiring practices, assessing how counties recruit and retain employees, growing the workforce, the state of rural healthcare in Alabama, examining efforts to reform Alabama’s ethics law, and evaluating the impact of Rebuild Alabama.
The Association of County Commissions of Alabama is a statewide organization speaking for all 67 counties with one voice. It promotes improved county government services in Alabama, offers educational programs for county officials and their staff members, administers insurance programs for county governments and employees, offers legal advice, and represents the interests of county government before state and federal organizations and agencies.
