On July 29, Deputy Payton arrested David Ruben Smith Jr., a citizen of Sylacauga, on the charge of Domestic Violence: Harrassing Communication. He was processed into the Coosa County Jail with a $500 bond.

On August 4, Deputy Payton arrested Ernesto Cruz Castro (David Reyes-Ambrosio), a citizen of Pinson, on the charges of Cocaine Possession, Methamphetamine Possession, Possession of Dangerous Drugs, Use or Possession with intent to use Drug Paraphernalia, Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct, and Public Intoxication. He was processed into the Coosa County Jail with a $22,000 bond.
