A Ray community man was arrested last Thursday on a drug-related charge, followed by being arrested on additional charges after being released from jail.
Chief Deputy Scott Hammond reported that on July 18, Sheriff’s Office investigators and a probation officer went to a residence in the Ray community to conduct a home visit.
During the visit, officers found drug paraphernalia in the home, as well as a powder-like substance that tested positive for fentanyl.
This resulted in 28-year-old Johnathan Lance Mann of Ray being arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance (fentanyl) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
His bond was set at $7,500, and he was released on bond on July 19 to await trial.
However, after being released on bond, Mann was then arrested on July 23 and charged with three counts of probation violation. He received no bond for those three charges and remains in custody at the Coosa County Jail awaiting trial.
