Union Square News
Ruby Johnson
Union Square’s Neighborhood Watch meeting is August 5 at 6 p.m. Don’t forget!
Our prayers go deeply for Coach/Deacon McKinney and his wife, Mrs. Wanda McKinney, in the loss of their son, Aric McKinney. Condolences are sent from the entire county of Coosa.
Our prayers are also with the family of Mr. Earl Caldwell, formerly a Union Square resident.
Sunday was a full day of blessings and fun for everyone; adults, children and even our only baby in the church, Grayson. He praises God and has fun with us, too, and not even one year old yet.
Worship service was great. Pastor Hill did what he does best, preaching the word of God from Ephesians 4:1, Colossians 2:10 and Hosea 4:6. He also did a powerful prayer call, especially for the young children, and was well done for the adults, as well.
After service we celebrated a surprise birthday party for Lady Mandy, the first ever given by her husband, Pastor Chris. Lady Hill stood strong on her two legs that she did not need two birthday hats like her husband did on his birthday. She had it all together, as her doctor ordered. It was a nice celebration with good food and a great assortment of cupcakes that were more delicious than a whole cake.
Happy birthday to a very compassionate sweet lady, Mrs. Natalie Morton, on today; Union Square ladies, Mrs. Ran Wilson and Mrs. Maressa Ware; nephew Johnny Smith; and a very dear friend, Aida Tuset; and to all July babies.
We’re praying for this country and all leaders of any auxiliaries, our sick loved ones, hospitals, and nursing homes.
Sunday night Rockford Church of God held a dynamite Glow Back to School with great worship music, praise dance, worship service performed by Pastor Hill, giving out school supplies, eating ice cream, and much more. It was an enjoyable night, with glow lights shining the night away.
