A highlight of the chamber’s annual member event, the Coosa County Chamber of Commerce unveiled its new colorful logo featuring a scenic waterway and sun, designed by Chelsey Strong with Muscadine Marketing. As the chamber phases out its former logo, this new logo will be featured on the chamber’s printed materials, online platforms and more as part of its rebranding project.

Coosa County’s Chamber of Commerce held its annual member meeting Monday at Triple R Cafe in Rockford, with all current chamber members invited to attend.
The annual event allowed members the opportunity to enjoy a free meal and networking while hearing from the chamber and hearing winners for this year’s awards. This year’s event was made even more special with the unveiling of the chamber’s new logo and rebranding project.
Spencer Hardy, Board of Directors member and interim president, opened the meeting, and District 3 County Commissioner Brandon Davis, a member of the chamber, blessed the food prior to the meal.
Following the meal, Hardy provided attendees with updates on the chamber’s activities and also introduced graphic designer Chelsey Strong with Muscadine Marketing.
The chamber board recently hired Strong to update the chamber’s brand and logo, making it more appealing, eye catching and representative of Coosa County and the chamber.
“A brand should visually represent what the organization is all about,” Strong said, as she explained the new logo at the member event.
The chamber’s former logo, which was black and white and featured three trees, will gradually be phased out and replaced with the new logo in all of the chamber’s printed material, signage and online platforms.
Another highlight of the event, Hardy went on to announce this year’s chamber awardees.
The chamber recognized Cornelia Tuck as the 2024 Person of the Year for her continued and ongoing contributions to the Chamber of Commerce and to the county overall.
The 2024 Chamber Business of the Year was awarded to Griffin’s Outdoor Power Equipment Sales & Service LLC. of Goodwater, which was noted to be a thriving small chamber business that is actively involved in the community.
Unfortunately, Tuck was unable to attend the event, and no representatives from Griffin’s attended, so Hardy delivered the awards in person on Wednesday.
After the announcement of the award recipients, each chamber member organization had the opportunity to share information about their respective organizations. During that time there were numerous points of connection among member organizations and opportunities for organizations to work together on projects.
General discussion at the event also resulted in a new idea for a computer education event to be held for senior citizens.
Many member organizations expressed interest in collaborating together to host that event. The chamber will provide updates as more details become available.
