Police pursuit leads to crash, death of Montgomery man

A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 3:43 p.m. Friday, May 10, has claimed the life of a Montgomery man, who died more than a week after the crash.
Antonio L. Seales, 51, was critically injured when the 2019 Chrysler 300 he was driving was struck from the rear by the 2014 Chevrolet Traverse driven by Ashton T. Ford, 26, of Montgomery. Before the crash occurred, Ford was eluding law enforcement and was involved in a pursuit.
Seales was transported to Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery for treatment. On Tuesday, May 21, at approximately 5:31 p.m., Seales succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at Baptist Medical Center South.
Ford was also injured and was transported to Baptist Medical Center South for treatment.
The crash occurred on Norman Bridge Road near East Delano Avenue inside the city limits of Montgomery in Montgomery County.
Nothing further is available as troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
