A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 4:40 p.m. Sunday, May 5, has claimed the life of a Denham Springs, La., woman.
Breana N. Fontenot, 20, was fatally injured when the 2014 Ford F-150 she was a passenger in was struck by a train. Fontenot was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the Ford; Grant D. Conner, 26, of Bay Springs, Miss.; was injured and transported to Citizens Baptist Medical Center in Talladega.
The crash occurred at the intersection of Talladega County Road 207 and the CXS railroad-crossing, approximately five miles west of Talladega, in Talladega County.
Nothing further is available as troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
