The J. D. Thompson High School Alumni is inviting everyone to attend our 2024 Fun Run Walk-A-Thon and old-fashioned May Day on Saturday, May 18.
This family fun day has activities for all age groups which include the walk-a-thon, with registration beginning at 7:30 a.m. The fee is $12, and the walk starts at 8:30 a.m.
Other activities include musical entertainment (DJ and choirs), kickball game, health and wellness activities, games, horse and carriage rides, and plaiting the maypole. There will be vendors, door prizes and swag bags for the walkers.
Food and drinks will be available at the concession stands so come hungry. The menu includes barbecue, JDT fried fish, hot dogs, and more.
Join us for a walk and some fun at the old J. D. Thompson High School site, located at 1854 Coosa County Road 93, in the Cottage Grove community.
