Mrs. Worley’s classes have been studying developmental milestones in little children. To assist her students with being able to put their knowledge to the test and observe small children, Mrs. Worley invited some small children to come to class for two days and have her students interact with the children and observe them playing.
The small children were 2 to 4 years old. Nate is 2, Ai’Dah is 3, Jocelyn is 4, and Jailee is 3. The high school students played with the little children: blowing bubbles, playing outside on the softball field, looking at the horses across the field, painting, and playing with playdoh. While playing the students were also observing the little children to see if they have met their major milestones and used a list to see which milestones they have met so far in their young lives.
All the children, big and small, had a good time and were able to learn from each other. We look forward to another Little Ones Academy in the future.
