LOCATION OF TIMBER SUBJECT OF THIS NOTICE:

 

The “COOSA COUNTY- COOSA WMA TRACT” more specifically described as follows:

Coosa County, Alabama, Township 22 North, Range 17 East, portions of Section 14 and Section 23; containing 204 acres more or less to be clearcut (“Sale Area”).

VOLUMES OF TIMBER: The estimated product class timber volumes are as follows:

Pine Pulpwood 12,933 TONS

Pine Chip-N-Saw 7,373 TONS

Pine Sawtimber 288 TONS

Hardwood Pulpwood 913 TONS

Hardwood Sawtimber 232 TONS

Volumes are not guaranteed, and all bidders must satisfy themselves as to the accuracy of estimated quantity.

Housing Authority Invites Comments on Draft Plans

 

The Goodwater Housing Authority’s (GHA) draft annual and five-year plan has been reviewed and discussed at the February Resident Advisory Board Meeting. The Board of Commissioners of the GHA has also reviewed the draft plan and given their consent. The item in the plan, which impacts public housing residents the most, is the Capital Improvement Plan.

 

The GHA invites all GHA residents and other interested parties to submit comments and suggestions on the draft plan for consideration prior to the adoption of the final plan. The time period allocated to provide public comments begins February 16, 2023, and ends April 17, 2023.

Sealed Bids will be received by the  Kellyton Water System, 378 Firehouse Road Kellyton, AL 35089 on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at 10:00 A.M.. local time, for furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment and doing the work of constructing, according to Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents on file in the office of the Owner, the improvements hereinafter described. No bids will be received after the time set forth hereinabove; and the Bids will be publicly opened and read.

This is a BABA Project and a letter from Manufacturers will be required for all material used in the project.

The work of constructing  Standpipe Storage Tank Coating DWSRF Project No. FS010388-01 Contract #1 will be let under one Contract, the principal items of work are detailed herein below.

  1. 100,000 Gallon Standpipe, Interior and Exterior Coating

Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents are open to public inspection at the office of Owner, the Kellyton Water System, 378 Firehouse Road Kellyton, AL 35089 or may be obtained from the office of the Engineers, Utility Engineering Consultants, LLC, 130 Southcrest Drive, Suite 100, Homewood, Alabama 35209 for the amount of $ 50.00  per set, the actual cost of printing, reproducing, handling and distribution for each set of documents. The Contractor is hereby advised that TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE on this project and that the contract time of

180 consecutive calendar days and noted restrictions shall be strictly observed. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES WILL BE ASSESSED IF THE CONTRACT TIME IS EXCEEDED. The Contractor may apply for an extension of time in accordance with the provisions of the contract; however, such an extension must be approved prior to the contract completion date to avoid the imposition of liquidated damages.
