The Lady Cougar softball team battled from behind in their game against Winterboro to secure their fourth win of the season. The Cougars took the lead in the fifth inning and then closed out the game with a score of 7-5.
Junior Brynlee Hawthorne led the team offensively with three hits for three at bats, including two RBIs. Seniors Markee Goff and Kali Snell also had a strong showing with two hits and two runs each. Hawthorne also led her team in the circle for seven innings with seven strike-outs. Sophomore Reese Lee had a strong defensive game with five put-outs.
