Sealed bids will be received by the Alabama Department of Transportation until 10:00 am on Thursday, April 18, 2024, and at that time publicly opened for a retainer contract for debris removal, reduction, and disposal following a declared disaster, in the East Central Region,

Alexander City Area. The bid opening will take place at the Alabama Department of Transportation, East Central Region, Alexander City Area office, Conference Room.

Qualified General Contractors holding a current Alabama State license are invited to bid. This contract is for the purpose of retaining a qualified General Contractor whose services would be employed in the event of a Tropical Storm event or other declared disaster.

Housing Authority Invites Comments on Draft Plans

 

The Goodwater Housing Authority’s (GHA) draft annual and five-year plan has been reviewed and discussed at the February Resident Advisory Board Meeting. The Board of Commissioners of the GHA has also reviewed the draft plan and given their consent. The item in the plan, which impacts public housing residents the most, is the Capital Improvement Plan.

 

The GHA invites all GHA residents and other interested parties to submit comments and suggestions on the draft plan for consideration prior to the adoption of the final plan. The time period allocated to provide public comments begins February 16, 2023, and ends April 17, 2023.
