According to The Knot, the average couple spends $30,000 on their wedding. Family and consumer science (FACS) students got hands-on experience preparing for every facet of a wedding, including invitations and decorations, as well as food and beverage. Through the process students learned that multiple details go into planning an event like a wedding, and contingency plans are necessary for unexpected challenges. We hope the process has sparked an interest for some of our students to enter the challenging, but lucrative, wedding industry. Thank you to FACS teacher Mrs. Worley for guiding our students through the process.
