Entrepreneur, local farmer will be challenging incumbent Mike Rogers for Alabama’s 3rd Congressional District seat
Special to the News
Barron Rae Bevels of Dadeville announced that she will be running for House representative in the 3rd District, which covers 11 counties. Bevels will be challenging longtime incumbent Mike Rogers for this seat.
“I am excited to announce my candidacy for the Republican nomination for House representative,” said Bevels.
“I was inspired to run for this seat because I desire to make an impact in not only my community, but your communities and our country. I’ll be honest; I feel we have not been properly represented in quite some time, but I know that I will be a present and active face throughout my entire district,” she stated.
“There are many areas that need reformation; however, the things that I immediately want to give my attention to are global overspending and the drug crisis our district and state faces,” said Bevels. “I am also really passionate about our education system and mental health awareness.”
“We send a ridiculous amount of money out of our district, out of this country, on things that do not concern us. I would like to bring as much money back to our district as possible,” Bevels stated. “I want to see our state become more self-sufficient so that we can lower taxes and see our state thrive. I want to bring my constituents more enjoyment than struggle.”
“I want to serve my people and be a voice. Let me be your Rae of Hope for a brighter tomorrow. I hope you will consider voting for me, Barron Rae Bevels, in the primary election in March as House representative in Alabama’s 3rd District,” Bevels exclaimed.
The upcoming Alabama Republican Primary will be held on March 5, 2024.
