Seventh grader Henley Stevens is described by her teachers as being very kind and a hard worker. She loves to help others and shows determination to do her best. Henley enjoys playing volleyball and dancing. Her plans for the future include going to the University of Alabama to become a nurse. The thing she likes most about school is getting to learn new things and being with friends. Also, Henley was one of the 2023 Homecoming representatives for the seventh grade class Congratulations, Henley!
Eighth grader Matthew Eubanks is a very quiet and friendly person. He works hard to maintain his grades. He does not mind helping his peers, either. Matthew is very bright and works hard to achieve academic success in his classes. His classmates describe him as being a confident person. Matthew is comical and fun to be around. He is overall described as being a good person. Congratulations, Matthew!
Ninth grader Amari Dawson is held in high respect by his teachers. His teachers comment that he is respectful, does what is asked in class and displays amazing communications skills, specifically during interviews. According to one of his teachers, “Amari was interviewed as part of one of his classes, and it was one of the best interviews I’ve seen, especially by a person of this age. Also, when I was visiting another teacher’s classroom, I overheard Amari trying to help another student understand how their previous actions were disrespectful to the teacher and how the student could have appropriately responded.” Amari’s goals for the future are to be an honor roll student and to be an outstanding student. He likes learning and being active in school. He is a great student that prioritizes his grades and learning first over anything in school. Congratulations, Amari!
Tenth grader Akeelah Houston is very helpful with classmates, hard working and always rises to the challenge of the lessons! She has a very fun, positive and bubbly personality. Akeelah participates well in class and helps her teachers, if needed. She is a model student here at Central High School. Congratulations, Akeelah!
Eleventh grader Reagan Cardwell plays softball for the Lady Cougars, is a member of SGA and plans on attending CACC for her basic coursework. Afterward, she would like to attend Auburn University and graduate with a degree in elementary education. She likes learning about the different opportunities for colleges and scholarships. Reagan is described by her teachers as being helpful, kind, hardworking, and intrinsically motivated. Congratulations, Reagan!
Twelfth grader Kamora Wilson is very kind to her peers and a good role model for younger students. She works hard and always comes to class prepared. Kamora is a very bright and responsible young lady! She always goes beyond expectations when completing assignments. She gives full participation in class and is always willing to help her classmates. She is a kind individual with a superb work ethic. She loves to read and write stories and is a CHS band member. Congratulations, Kamora!
