A single-vehicle crash at approximately 3 p.m. Tuesday, October 24, has claimed the life of an Anniston man.
Timothy W. Thomas, 72, was critically injured when the 2023 Nissan Altima he was driving left the roadway and struck a bridge column. Thomas was transported to UAB Hospital in Birmingham, where he succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday, October 31.
The crash occurred on Interstate 459 near the 27-mile marker, within the city limits of Irondale, in Jefferson County.
Nothing further is available as troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
