Thank you to Central High School counselor Ms. Long for providing an opportunity for ninth grade students to attend the University of Alabama’s Vision Day. After making their way to University of Alabama (UA) at Tuscaloosa, the Central students were welcomed at the Student Center Theatre. The ninth graders then attended a presentation on admissions and then participated in a UA campus walking tour led by Capstone Men and Women.
The ninth graders then rotated through four 30-minute workshops on careers; Early College student panel; financial aid and scholarship information; and lastly, the College Table Fair. Ninth graders were then treated to lunch before returning to Central. It was a great opportunity for our ninth graders to get a taste of college life and learn some valuable information in helping them make post-secondary college decisions.
