Central Elementary kindergartners had a day of fun celebrating Johnny Appleseed’s birthday. They made homemade applesauce, learned about the star in an apple, made pot hats, did a science experiment with our AMSTI connection on apples turning brown, ate lots of apple-flavored things, and did a taste test between red, yellow and green apples.
Thank you to Mrs. Wells for sharing pictures and information and creating such a fun learning experience for our youngest students.
Pictured are Parker wearing his stove pot hat, Ariah dipping the apple slices to see if they would turn brown or stay the same when cut, and Saban with a smile under the apple tree.
