Special to the News
Sheriff Michael Howell, School Resource Officer (SRO) Lieutenant Bradgel Moon and Coosa County Superintendent of Education David Stover Jr. revealed the new SRO truck in front of Central Coosa schools this week.
The special Cougar Pride wrap added to the SRO vehicle was a combined effort between the Coosa County Sheriff’s Office and the Coosa County school system who maintain a strong partnership in building community relations, Cougar Pride and maintaining secure facilities at Central Coosa schools.
In a social media post Sheriff Howell stated, “I have not seen an SRO vehicle in the state that compares to ours. I am proud of our school system, and I know this small project will help build confidence in our school and build a stronger relationship between the students and law enforcement. Go Cougars!”
Thank you to Sheriff Howell and SRO Moon for your dedication to our school system and your embodiment of the “Once a Cougar, Always a Cougar” spirit.
